Sarah Fraser

Sarah Fraser was born 25th December 1960 and raised in Hertfordshire. She read English at Bristol between 1980 and 1982. In 1982 she married and now lives in the Highlands with her husband and four children. She ran a wine bar as part of the family business and with her husband has established an Arvon Foundation Writers’ Centre , a backpackers hostel and a traditional music pub in Inverness. She completed a Masters and PhD in obscene Gaelic Poetry at Edinburgh University. Subsequently Sarah has reviewed books and plays in Gaelic for radio and television. She was also part of the panel on a discussion programme about establishing secure status for Gaelic as one of the official languages of Scotland.  Her first book, The Fox and the Lion will be published in 2010 by HarperCollins.
