Thura Al-Windawi
Thura Al-Windawi grew up in Baghdad with her parents and two sisters. She was nineteen years old when America invaded Iraq in 2003, and she began keeping a diary a few days before the bombing of Baghdad began. This diary, called Thura’s Diary, was published by Puffin Penguin in 2004.
