Joe Lovejoy

Joe Lovejoy has been the football correspondant for The Sunday Times since 1994.  He was previously the chief football writer at The Independent and has also worked for the Mail on Sunday.  In 1998, his writing was 'highly commended' by Sport England (formerly The Sports Council) and in 2000 he was named Football Writer of the Year by his peers in a Sky TV poll. 

His first book was Bestie, the critically acclaimed biography of George Best, and his most recent biography, Sven-Goran Eriksson, was published in 2003.
