Maxim Kantor

Maxim Kantor was born in Moscow in 1957. His first collection of short stories was published in Russia in 1993. He is a critically acclaimed painter and sculptor whose paintings and etchings are exhibited in the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow and the British Museum. His first novel The Drawing Textbook was a finalist for Russia's Big Book Prize and is Russia's fastest selling first novel. He divides his time between Moscow and Berlin.
