Richard J. Carwardine

Professor Richard J. Carwardine is the Rhodes Professor of American History at the University of Oxford. In 2004 he became the first British scholar to win the Lincoln Prize, the largest award in America in American History, which was awarded to his analytical biography, Lincoln (Pearson Education Ltd.). He is currently working on a book about the role of religion in the birth of America.
