Richard Fortey
Richard Fortey is a senior palaeontologist at the Natural History Museum. He is the author of several books, including Fossils: The Key to the Past and The Hidden Landscape which won The Natural World Book of the Year in 1993. In 1997 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society. Richard has also won the Lewis Thomas Prize for science writing and is the 2006 holder of the Royal Society's Michael Faraday Prize for the public communication of science. He is currently writing a book about animals that have survived against the odds.
